Console commands, Trader reset (fix)?
Just been doing some research and looking to get verification from y'all if my research has turned up the right way to fix.

Issue is Trader has sunk into the floor. So it kinda really bothers me.

Solution I think that has come about was a chunk reset with command console/dev mode, is following correct way to do it? (With backed up save of course)

First, enable in the options, the cheat mode before loading.

F1 for CC

cm (creative mode on)
dm (Dev mode on)

cr (reset chunk)

Then can dm/dm to turn all that back off and then can leave and turn off cheat mode?

To reset a chunk you'll need to add the exact chunk to the command. So you'll first have to figure out the correct numbers and the chunk in question has to be free of players.
I'd first try with the traderarea command while standing next to the broken trader compound.
Don't know if it's still working, but it helped with most problems in the past.

You don't need 'cheats' enabled in order to use DM--'Debug Mode' not 'Dev mode' and you don't need to start Creative Mode either. Just F1, type DM, enter, type CR, (for chunk reset) enter. This is while you are at the bugged area. CR will just reset whichever 'chunk' area of the map you're at when you use the command. It will reset all the poi's in the area and eliminate any custom contstruction you may have done so, user beware.
After done resetting the area, Type DM and hit enter in the console again.....which will exit you out of Debug Mode...back to normal play mode.

Did that ever work for you? Never did for me. I always have to add the coordinates showchunkdata shows me and also the chunk doesn't have to be loaded. Last time I did is a couple weeks ago, so A20. 6

Hmm....ok..I could of swore I remembered it 'used' to work on the chunk I was actively in. But, using coordinates is definitely better since you can reset a chunk you're not even in at the time.

So update: (Old update removed)

The CM does reset Trader, but the one in the floor doesnt disappear or reset. So it regenerates one, and then new one just disappears. So it would work, if I could remove old one

but, on a server reset, the old one disappeared (the one stuck in the floor) and new one appeared. The first time, the new one shifted and was offset from counter, and this was where they reappeared on the server restart, so wherever new one shows is where spawn point will be on the re-load.

Catch is that you need to CR so that there are two traders. Sometimes one will spawn, then immediately disappear on the CR.

If you followed the instructions of the video I posted that wouldn't have happened.

The instructions in the video was something i tried and didn't correct the trader stuck in ground. It only ended up with multiple traders.

The Chunk Reset seemed to be the one to actually reset them out of the ground.

I suspect the CR functions like creating the permanent entity one, but instead created them in their original default spot.

Hmm... I guess things must have changed since then. :meepfail:
Thanks for telling me, I'll scrap that video from my "7D2D fixes" list.

I wouldn't scrap it just yet. I am pretty sure my trader was just glitched out and it was a slightly different circumstance as they were clipped into the tile. So when new dynamic was created, old one remained, etc.

What I did was pretty specific. Sorry I didnt grab screenshots. But it worked for solving the issue of trader clipped into floor.
