Treasure maps in Navezgane

We found a treasure map playing on Navezgane, but we were under the assumption that you could only find treasure on the RWG maps. Can anyone confirm that they do indeed exist in Navezgane and can be found? We've been digging for a while now and just aren't sure.

it takes alot ..... and I mean alot of digging. That being said however can confirm they are there in the default game world and in RWG.

Thanks for the response. We gave it a break after digging for 20 min in the burning biome.. started to overheat and wanted to wait for feedback before we wasted further time. We will head back over and give it another shot.

Yes maps do exist in navezgane, I've only ever found one map and the treasure associated with it though. When I found mine it was a wooden storage chest. I dug around the general area for maybe 8 minutes to find it.

There is a perk to help with the accuracy (and hence speed) of finding your treasures...I found a huge difference between digging without leveling the perk and digging after maxing it out.

The chest is usually 2-4 blocks deep. The "issue" is the total area one has to randomly dig in to find it can be quite huge. A couple levels of the Treasure Hunter (?) perk helps (reduces the size). Otherwise you may be digging all "day" and beyond, if luck is bad. :)

You might try a different way of digging. If you're with a partner try and figure out the rough area you think the treasure is.

From the area you think it's in start digging a 1 block deep box shaped hole X by X blocks in the area it should be. From there remove the first layer of dirt within the entire box, then the second, third ect.

I've found that if you don't know exactly where it is, this can be an effective method. As oppose to randomly selecting a spot to try digging. It can be a little time consuming depending on the area you're working with but I think it will increase your odds of finding it.

Ive found about 8 maps so far and have my perk maxed out in this skill. Result is I find the treasure wihin a few mins tbh

Stand right on top of the treasure icon and dig around where im stood, think all treasures have only been 2 or 3 levels down (probaly due to perk?) or just got lucky
