Where is the config file located?
I was going to switch to another harddrive and wanted to extract all my settings like keyboard layout and graphical settings etc. I tried checking "C:\Users\name\Documents\7 Days To Die", but that doesn't contain it.

Try looking here Probo

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\7 Days To Die

You might also try backing up the game through Steam then restoring to your other drive.

Hope this helps.

Those types of settings I believe are in your roaming folder.

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie

Keyboard configation/graphical settings isn't located in

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie.

Only additional character profiles (look of your character) is what I found there.

I can't find the configuration file for keyboard setup etc in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\7 Days To Die

either.

Only other place they could be is the registry, I imagine. Though Im not sure if you should poking around there if you dont know what you're doing.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | The Fun Pimps | 7 Days To Die

There is a key called:

Controls_CodeNames_h2068567703

But the data type is binary.
(so yeah, too lazy tonight to make that conversion)

There are some other binary keys call Alt_CodeNames as well.

I have no idea if modifying these keys will have any effect.
They could be left over Unity keybindings.
Might be worth messing around with at some point though.

Something, something...DO NOT MESS WITH YOUR REGISTRY UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING

SERIOUSLY

Yeah that makes sense, I just tried using a backup of the game I created on steam, didn't save any graphical or key settings either. So have to redo it again. This time I am going to do it and save a backup of my entire system drive.
