but yeah, it IS possible the noise scares animals AND attracks zeds... but i dont know.. need to find some dev-notes on that i guess :)
Drop into your console and read the log. You'll see the second you enter a "chunk" the various animals/zombies/etc will spawn in. They usually spawn in at a distance so they no longer appear to "pop in" in front of you. Once you leave that chunk they can despawn to save memory.
What I think is happening is that you're going so quick through each chunk you're not giving the stuff time to load.
Check your logs.
Wow that's actually a good idea and makes sense. I'll try it thanks, would suck though. perhaps stop and go tatic then. Go some distance and then stop for a bit then again, for hunting. Or get off and hunt on foot like the good old days, need feathers anyway.
