Can zombies see through wood frames? Craft detection?

Ever since my second playthrough of this game a long while back, i learned some stuff. But there has been a large amount of superstition and paranoia to some aspects of this game due to ignorance. Even the wiki is a bit vauge on these subjects. Basically, does crafting attract zombies? can they see through wood frames?

just wondering because i literally crouch in my house at night and alt tab to watch something, am i wasting time or is my paranoia justified?

Stuff like checking your backpack , making noises like walking, jumping, eating, drinking, crafting (yes, it does makes noises, if you hear them , they hear too) . Depends on if it is 7th day with ferals or screamers, attracted by the heat of forge of firplace . If you are really new player, just imagine what could attract a real Zs, if you are hidden behind a door with same things that could attract you if you are on their place. Food for thought :)

thanks, but do you know anything about the wood frames?

Wood frames used to be "solid walls" but I think they are not since 14.6. Anyone care to chime in?

Cant confirm but with wood being so plentiful upgradeing for the night and moving on in the morning is prolly the safest approach.

As far as i know they cannot see through a wood frame, thats my opinion from my personal experiances but it could be wrong.

The screamers can see through wood I think.

Best way to test that yourself is to crouch and see what actions you do cause them to sense you. I've been wondering about them seeing through frames myself, so I have been erring on the side of caution. Guess Valmar cleared that up for me though, so now I know it was not all wasted effort. lol Cheers for That Valmar :)
