There's nothing wrong with it in any event, beyond us having to scroll through too many similar games to find the ones that have done a really good job with that style of gameplay. Competition, copying, and refinement of the formula is a good thing for the players, on the whole.
RUST is just a gang of humans running around and killing you to ruin your fun.
IMO, 7DTD is more teambased and fun PVE game. Rust is more griefing and PvP game.
