how to change from Celsius or Fahrenheit unit of temperature.
open the console and type ‘settempunit c’ or ‘settempunit f’ to set the game to use Celsius or Fahrenheit unit of temperature.
The game will remember it, so you have to type it just once.
hope it helps, have fun.

Create a game single player , open the console (in my case I use the Ñ key ) writes: " settempunit < " c " or" f "> " would read: " settempunit C" and voila, the temperature will be defined in ° C in all your games
(PS: Do this in a single player game as multiplayer tricks are not allowed )
(PS2: Google Translate)

This has to be done every time the game is started (in single player). Any idea on how to make it permanent?

Ignore that fact it says F or C since it does not follow either IRL scale. It is a 1-100 game scale. Best to just learn to stay above 40 and below 90. Death follows further in either direction...

I hope im not mistakeing if i do im sorry ...did you just said that people should learn the imperial system over metric? (ignore F or C...just stay above 40 or below 90..) beacuse if that its C you are kebab or fishstick.

NO! I Certainly am not! (Metric FTW)

I said they should learn the game scale. Since if you look at the core temps in terms of C and/or F, you would be dead long before the game scale kills you. I am saying this game uses neither F or C despite what ever letter follows the core temp amount. So changing if from F to C (in 7D2D) is a redundant move, that will not help. Regardless of if one is proficient in metric or imperial.

Something's wrong with your game!

Not sure what might be happening with your game Yami, but changing to Celsius DOES change the scale on my end. :O
The rate of increase/decrease also changes accordingly (less radical changes between Celsius numbers, than with Faren.)

F: 40-90
C: ~7-33

Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying. :(

Again I am misunderstood. The game scale used for core temps is not anywhere in the realm of reality when you look at the temps in F or C. So rather than bother changing them learn the game scale. Case in point water freezes solid at 32F, you would be dead from hypothermia long before the game kills you for it if it aped reality. As such use the game scale and ignore that fact an F (or if changed a C) is the unit being used and just adjust to the game scale.

Did I get it? 3rd time lucky??

F is for europeans VERY strange, almost like chinese or whatever. I prefer also C :
0 -> 7 is cold, above is better, 35+ is getting hot, below 0 is freaking cold and deadly.
I think that is what he means.

I;m telling you it doesn't matter what you prefer at all since neither follows reality be it F or C. Just learn the 1-100 scale and there's no need to ♥♥♥♥ with if it says F or C as that much is entirely irrelevant. I'm not defending F over C. I use C here in metric Canada myself. Core temps as they are in this game do not follow reality. Stay above 40 and below 90 is all you need to know. You can change the letter after to "X" and it doesn't make a difference beyond that.
Aragon 3 jan, 2018 @ 6:02
I never said u can compare it with the reality, i just said it feels better using C than F.
Anyway, i see it this way (using red Eagles HUD mod), at the top is the actual ambient temperature, and left side at the bottom how it feels, not what the core temp is. A core temperature below the freezing point doesnt makes much sense.
But to know it feels like -3 rings the alarm bells. -3 feels more familar like ..for example, 37 f or 47 f ..or whatever it is (im to lazy to check google now).

It doesn't because you are not using C you just changed the letter and it still does not follow F or C.

It's a simple 1-100 game scale.

But why do you hate Celsius so much?

But i see, for example, -10 C ...instead 31 F
31 F tells me a *** about the temp, looks like chinese. But -10 rings a bell..ding ding ding.
Thats the point. Thats what the OP is about and i agree here.
Its not that 120 F is after changing also 120 C ...120 C is pure hell and everything is almost burning allready, not just hot.
The scaling is still inaccurate ingame (no question about), but for europeans its still easier to handle C than F...even with this inaccuracy.
YamaKami (Avstängd) 3 jan, 2018 @ 6:16
It may as well be Chinese is the point. Even if you change it to C it does not follow C and you still have to learn a game scale. So just leave it be and learn a game scale. Changing it to C just makes it more clear if you know Metric, that the game scale does not follow reality.

Changing it for any reason at all is just a waste of time and an extra step no one need take.

-10C is only a relevant measurement of temperature if the game is using C properly and it does not. You would long since have become a corpsicle at -10C.
