Debug Mode questions
hit Esc and you get a sidebar menu. I was playing around with it out of curiousity.

I used the slider associated with changing the day and ended up being stuck with Day 11. Could not find a way to return to day 32 that I was on.

Since then 7 day hordes have dried up it seems.

I do have mutliple bases, but have visited each one after a 7 day horde to find no damage or remains of zombies.

Any help appreciated.

If you have cheat mode enabled in the game options;
hit the console key, "~"

type in the command "settime" with the following format;
"settime XX XX XX" Day, Hour(24 cycle) Minutes

So to change the time to day 8, at 7:45 am, it would look like this

settime 08 07 45

As far as zombie spawing goes, if the chunk where your base is located is outside of the game render distance, then no zombies will spawn in that area. It would take massive ammounts of computer resources to populate the world with zombies you would never see, so they keep zombie spawning restricted to a proximity relative to your location.

Thanks for the info on the cmd line.

I suppose I understand what you're speaking of when rendering. I usually get a loading hang screen for a split second when I've been in a new chunk for more than a couple of minutes.

I always figured that was the zombies loading.in.

So I built a base right outside the Hub 0,0 city running forges and all and still no 7 Day hordes.
Very odd, not that I mind too much. I had at one time cnosidered trying to turn them off via xml files anyways.

Either way thought just thought it might be a useful note if someone else comes across the same issue.

It's becasue you messed with the day, and the spawning is tied to time passed. I bet if you get back to day 32 or survive for 21 days things normalize again at a 7 day rhythm, but your day counter might be askew still.

My reason for saying do is servers had similar problems with clock resets messing up spawning that seems near identical to your issue. Only you manually changed the day in the debug mode, and on servers it was from not shutting down properly.

Thanks for that info. It sounds exactly what is happening to me. I'll wait a bit more and see if it self corrects.
