Whats up with a treasure chest in the sea ?
So, i was going to get myself a treasure chest yesterday... and have it max skilled as well. But... i swum far out into the sea and it marked it burried there, so far down at the bottom, that i was bound to die before ever getting my first swing to try and find it. Has this happened to anyone of you ?
...and what did you do about it ?

Do i really have to find a cheat, in order to get my hands on that chest (and skill point) ? :steamsalty:

Eventually they want to add scuba stuff you can find, or maybe craft to get at that. Alpha still so not everything is in yet

Ok, that figures. It would be cool. I really thought about that when i was doing my swim. Or at least the ability to craft a raft of some sort. It took so much time to swim.

So, do anyone have any cheat code for underwater breathing ? I want to get that chest from my quest tab.

I had a chest in the water but it wasn't buried. I just hat to swim deep for it.

Just craft some wood frames and build an underwater habitat on the bottom of the lake.
Once built you'll be able to go back for air as many times you want... :-]

Something resembling the white structure in this picture[4.bp.blogspot.com] should be enough.

if your not trolling then please be more specific how to build an actual structure with air in it, or get a real picture from the game

I had to go for a supply crate underwater. I had just enough time to grave the stuff and head for the urface. I was out of air and starting to drown just as hi broke the surface.

I'm not trolling.
It's very easy actually since when you finish enclosing a block of water even with just frames the water disappears and you can breath.

Just build a small dome made with wooden frames on the bottom of the lake.
Leave a one/two blocks entrance from the bottom and you're done. ;-]

Ok, thanks for the advices. I used god mode in my case though... it was to far below the surface. But even in godmode, i couldnt breath the water. But i swum faster. And as one also found out, the chest was not burried. If only i knew this, i would have tried without godmode.

About the underwater base. Doesnt it require to have a solid foundation, like the ocean floor, in order to start the base ? In my case, it was really far below the surface. If i can build a base, i can easily loot a chest. I might try the underwater base, just for fun though, on a more shallow place :)

If you could reach the bottom then you could place at least one frame per trip.
After a while you'd have built your small underwater dome.

BTW: I never said you needed to build an entire base, you just need a total of 20ish frames and you're done. As for the foundations you just place four frames as columns on the corners of the squared dome you're going to build.

If you dig a tunnel UNDER the ocean and leave caverns of breathing space, you can go into the water from the bottom up and the treasure will be yours. Don't collapse your tunnel and drown yourself :P

I don't think that would be a good idea in this case: it would take a huge amount of time to dig under the lake + as you said it would be risky. Your idea would be better suited for a secret / well hidden base for PVP though... ;-]

What you Have to do I you can is stack boxes from the bottom which will take a bit of time. Stack them all the way to top then Add a ladder to the side of the boxes. I did try the idea of building a hut with a door or trap air and it was a no go. Also ran into a prob of the top boxes at one point were destroyed and made a weird hole in the water like it was glitched but just rebuilt it. Hope this helps
