The level. 1-600 getting better as they progress. That's why spam crafting is a survivalists #1 hobby in 7DTD.

So, when my crafting increases, the base damage of those weapons increase?

When your weapon smithing increases, yes. Misc. Crafting doesn't effect weapon/tool levels but can have an effect when repairing certain items with quality markers. In the case of some items it will effect durability moreso then damage which is more a modifier of the ammunition (bows I think are this way, not guns) but in others it will increase both.

Yeah that is how many nights are spent. You don't have to but it helps. At least get everything up to 100 in the first couple days though.

The numbers represent the quality of the items. The higher the number, the greater the damage/durability they have. There's also colors associated with the quality level of the items. Brown is Faulty (1 - 99), Orange is Poor (100 - 199), Yellow is Good (200 - 299), Green is Fine (300 - 399), Blue is Great (400 - 499), and Purple is Flawless (500 - 600).
