Is the mini bike worth it ?
I keep reading that it disapears and the loot vanishes.
Has this al been fixed or do you still have to build aplatform for it.

Also what about it being hit by Zeds do they ignore it or do I need to make a shack for it?:claugh:

I've lost dozens of minibikes since they were introduced but not a single one so far in 14.7...I'll stop short of saying they're fixed but its looking that way.
With that said, yes they are absolutely worth it. They really open up the map and let you exlore further out as well as give you a life-line when the sun goes down.....assuming you have a decent quality fast engine.
Zombies ignore it unless you're on it of course but don't let that stop you from building a garage for it!

Cool thanks for fast reply it's just soo much stuff to make one I'm on day 10 so just did not want to waste all the stuff.
I had to restart as my last gen world had me in the middle of no where, not it's playable.:steamhappy:

On day ten you should not really need the mini-bike yet. First unless you are lucky and fined a gas statrion/repair yard gas could be a bit of a problem. Second, the frame, seat and handle bars are all crafted items, Also, unless you are lucky you are going to find low quality batteries/engines. Using grey/orange/yellow parts is going to give you a slow and loud mini-bike.
That being said, the mini-b is great at letting you explore and also increasing your inventory space. I still put mine in a storage unit before moving to far away, or at least taking everything out of it.

Gas a problem? Scrap cars and drive away.

Yeah I got a blue battery and engine the area I spawned was right next to a town it has all teh stuff I needed for it made a small base there.

There is a problem that bears spawn all the time there, in the yards.

It's cool there is a bank, gas station, police station, pill stop, but no stiff's.

The roads make no sense they all go in sharp turns back on themselves then fork into dead ends, I wanted to find a new town.:steamsad:

what i do drive somewere to loot, fill minibike, go home, unloot all from bag and minibike then disassimble bike and put it in chest, the reason its buggy is it was introduced before its time, and they are working bugs out before the new bike and chopper what i read, but im looking forward to alpha 15 with working gradge doors and drawbridge to park it behind walls.
My favorite glitch is when i mounte up, and drive watching my feet walk on ground while im driving.

Minibike is worth it. I usualyy build it around sometime after Day 21. Getting/making the nandlebars are always the biggest problem for me.

I stopped using a platform. My minibike, for whatever reason, was falling through (clipping) the reinforced concrete platform I had built so only the handle bars were sticking up. So I'd have to disassemble it then re-assemble it to get it out of the blocks. Now I just park it on the street and have had no problems.

I used to bulid a garage for asethetic reasons. However, with or without a garage, I've never had a minibike attacked since the minibike was added. And that includes quite a few hordes (7 Day & Wandering) going over/around it.

You can find handlebars sometimes. They're pretty uncommon though.

I take extra care of my bike to make sure it doesn't disappear easy. I usually setup a simple storage chest just outside of a town to hold the bike and goodies while I raid a town. Works pretty nicely and saves it from being attacked by surprise zombie hordes if you place it right.

Definitly worth it. Although I often read about disappearing minibikes, I never lost one ;)
I never lost any loot in the basket as well.
Note: Don´t use a crappy engine, since the speed of the bike is tied to the quality of the parts (especially the engine)
