2 player Co-Op, how does it work?
What's the story with co-op for 2 players? I've seen stuff about needing a dedicated server, but there is an option in game to just invite someone to my "new game."
What way does it work in terms of a friend and I playing in my own world?

You would "host" the game, acting as the server in this case. The other player then logs in ( either through the IP addy direct, or joining the game through your profile )and you both play.

Once you log out or shut the game down, they get kicked out. Obviously, they can only log in when you tell em "hey, the game is up." The only thing you'll really need is a good solid connection. If you're hosting, you won't see any issues or lag really, but they will.

Also, when you pop into the world, you and your friend will spawn in different areas. In my experience with co-op, it can be a pretty big distance. Everytime we've tried to meet up, it's a serious trek and one of us always dies. Our deaths are our own issues, but my point is to really think about how you're going to meet up.
You can share waypoints, add friends to your allie list, and see their location on the map. Note, you do have to add them to the allies list in each game.

If you're playing and your friend joins your game, the days don't reset, so be sure to give him a headsup if it's night. Or just don't tell him and listen to him curse your name as the zombies tear him limb from limb :P

Yes. Turn persistent profiles on for that though, or with a different character people can log on as a new player each time if they change their profiles. Or do not if you want that open as an option.
