what I also don't understand Is why some food affect thirst negatively ... when we technically know that even meat you've cooked yourself or even boiled meat contain water in it. like why cooked porks does not affect thirst but that cooked venison affect it's?
I am on the early stages of the game, and right now food is hard to come by, and I find myself constantly looking for food, and by the time I find it, I need it... and I'm back to looking for more. it doesn't give me a lot of time for much else.
Water isn't as bad now that I have a decent supply of jars, a water source and the ability to boil it. But this food thing is a bit much.
LOL - Well... I guess if you put it that way!! ROFL!!!
like this video explain everything....

Maybe make the hunger level hover for quite a while towards the bottom and make the character angry and weak (just as I am, without food) before having them peal over and die of hunger.
Can the average human run 100's of miles while downing cactus juice and not die? Can the average person chop trees and break boulders with their bare hands? Let's be realistic and keep realism out of this game. (see my comment above)
Tell that to the devs as they strive to bring more realism in to the game. It is ridiculous that every charactor is a master blacksmith, a master at weaving, sewing, farming, marksmanship, well beyond tri-athlete. This is all true, however in the sense of trying to bring even a small ammount of realism to the game, one of the first things to address would be the highly improbable metabolism. If we are to just simply leave any and all realism out of this game then lets just get rid of needing to eat and drink, get rid of armor, farming, and really just about everything else. A minor complement of realism can go a long way, where as too much realism can break the entire game. A middle ground is needed.
I completely agree... and personally, I think the 3 days without water...and 5 to 7 without food would be fine; the balance would be in Stamina for Running and Fighting depleting faster... as well as Reduced strength... causing it to take longer to complete task such as chopping, mining and even crafting.
@SoulChaser - I think we get it... this isn't real life... it's just a game. But it would still be nice not to die after a few hours without food. As well... if you consider the fact that a Minute of game time goes by in less than a minute, then technically cutting down trees in 20 wacks (which takes about 10 minutes game time) is closer to reality than dieing because you missed Lunch.
