How do you drop items on the ground?

For some reason, when i drag items out of inventory off to the side to drop them, they will not drop. They seem to get "stuck" and sometimes if i shake them they will finally disappear, but only some of the time.

It does work some of the time to drag the item out of the inventory, and then close out of the inventory, but that shouldnt be the way to have to do this.

Q key to drop what's in your hand.

Otherwise, drag it to the side of your inventory window, just at the edge, and drop it -- not way off the the side or the like, just off the edge.

Also clicking the item out of your inventory, and then closing the inventory also drops the item you are holding with the cursor...

thats they way that has been working for me, but its annoying when dropping multiple things, or when trying to make room to loot something else.

Drag en drop them in between your inventory en your hotbar (numbered 1-8). Thats the spot to drop them..if you drag en release to left or right it doesnt work well.

It's a bit silly, this, but you can drop it by clicking just outside the inventory window (at least on the right side). You can't click too far away though. It has been bugging me since I started playing that you can't just do it anywhere there's free space. I hope they do something about it.

After the last patch this sometimes place the item back in your inventory. I think it's when you try to drop something while having an open container. Annoying.

or hightlight the slot eg say 4 and just press d

I wrote an AutoHotkey script that lets you rapidly drop items by ALT-Clicking on them.

In my game if I drag and drop to the right of the screen ( doesn't matter, for me, exactly where) it works just fine. But if I drag and drop to the left, it's like I have glue on my hands and I have to clickity-click repeatedly to get the item to let go. :)
