Your server is dedicated. Thats the entire point of renting one from a company. (Or even in running the dedicated server yourself.)

I have a server hosted by a company that has its own control panel on their website i use, so i dont needa use the server manager. Im not sure i entirely understand your question wether you wanna use the server manager instead of the built in controller for it who hosts it for you or do you host it yourself? :S

His server is hosted by "black box servers" apparently. (Just about all I can tell here.)

Probably not going to help you at all but figured I would throw out the fact you can run a dedicated serevr on your computer and setup anything you want and control stuff through server at any time FOR FREE. I gather thats not what your interested in but figured I would say it anyways. For the few guys I play with I have zero issues and can also host a dedicated server on my extra computer in the house. I have a good connection speed and with 8 people so far there are no problems with lag. From what your saying thats one thing that would piss me off about renting. I also hear many times people not getting the latest alpha updates instantly when they should. Another reason I like running dedicated from my PC. I wish I could run it 24/7 but thats a bit risky I hear and I just don't have a true dedicated rig to do it. For normal play with friends though what I do is fine. It can be a pain to setup however

Open up your config file on the server. look for the telnet port and password. enter those in the server settings tab. remember to input the password and then press enter. it wont store it if you dont hit enter. As for the game folder game server exe game server config and game server world folder ive not figured out how to link those but everything else works once you get connected.
