Extremely easy in game money making way
I just found some ridiculous way to make in game money so easily

that can occur in relatively in early game.

You probably already know about it, but I suppose some of the beginners can get helped

by know it...

What you need to get is iron axe or any wood cutting tool.

By the way, if you can get to snowy area and if you are ready for taking out some

hard zombies, you can get axe very early on in the game.

Also make sure to get good amount of skill for mining, to cut tree fast.

And you chop tree and get seed from it, and replant seed again on the ground.

More you replant seed on the ground, the better.

And craft wood block 1/2 which has value of 50.

This can garantee about 500 of blocks in no time, while you move to trader

during your wood choping travel.

And arrive to trader and sell those wood block 1/2 to trader and go back to

other trader while doing the exact same thing during traveling.

This will make wood growing during your travel, wood will be regrown, thus you can

cut trees again.

In current balance, it can give just ridiculous amount of money and the method

is really renewable, sustainable way to regenerate single resource but can make

respectable amount of money. Selling wood block grants about 20000 duce easily

and trader's stock will be reset after a bit of days, so you can do it again and again

during your trip for trader to trader. Basically if you go back and forward like 2 or 3 times

you can have money amount to buy most of stuffs for advanced tools and

speed up developing your stocks.

Depending on your setting, before tree cutting traveling, it is great to set some

nodes on your pathway so you can rest at night.

I made some tree farm right next to trader so it produces absolutely tons of wood and cutting

wood gave everything I needed for survival (builing, trap material and money).

And tree can grow right on normal ground, thus it takes only tree cutting tool to be rich.

I've found traders stop taking stuff from me some times. I was able to sell about 3 iron pick axes before the trader stopped accepting them. I've only found a single trader so far. Too busy fortifying my base etc.

Brewing golden rod tea is also a good way to make money (not as quick as wood blocks). You get about 9 per jar. So if you can find some sand and a source of water and a forge you can make some jars in fairly large numbers rather quickly. It may not be as fast as above but I was able to get my hands on a cross bow schematic at about day 9 by doing it.

First crossbow was about 210 quality. single hits zombies in the face fairly frequently (7 out of 10 with out much trying?). It looks like some rebalancing was done again for bows and cross bow etc.

I'm guessing a way to balance this is to lower the wood block 1/2 selling price?

Or probably make the trader no longer accept a certain amount of items

Yeah that is a bit absurd and needs adjusting. There is no reason a simple wooden block should cost that much.

After you sell him a certain amount of one item he wont take more. So that is good in the short term. Still that is bypassing the whole game. Why not just turn on cheats and give yourself all the cash you want? LOL. The game is meant to play with skill. Looking for shortcuts that is just the show of someone not really wanting to play a survival type game like this.

Well, if they're having fun playing that way.
Still, I don't know what I would do with money, the one trader that I found in my game didn't had anything that interesting.

i think myself i prefer to make spikes and cobblestone blocks with the wood then worry about finding multiple traders and get tons of duke coins tbh. im on day 34 or 35 and havent visited the 1st quest trader yet lol..

Faster to just chase down a treasure map, they seem to have 10k-20k worth of dukes, gold, and silver in them.

There are various ways to make sh*tloads of money in a short time in the game as it is right now ... question is, what's the point? By playing normally, you're maxed out pretty fast already, and with the apparent lack of endgame content, the game then becomes boring. Speeding up that process even more is pointless, IMHO.
