"Removed: Placeable TNT block." Why...
Why remove the single best helper at underground mining, dynamite sticks are way too unpredictable and Mining, Each, And, Every, Single, Block, is not fun, its tedious...
Im just asking myself why

They want you to invest in miner 69er and high tier modded steel picks, or auger. In most cases its one or two swings per block. Early game its a grind. If its just to much of a grind just spawn in the admin tool and mine as fast as you can pull the trigger.

thats just... awfull design, i mainly used dynamite to build tunnels as i like to do underground construction and engineering, i mean they can make as if dynamite only gives a very small ammount of ore, but straightout removing dynamite is just stupid

They didn't remove dynamite? I get mining is a boring ass grind, but once I get hold of an auger I seem to enjoy building underground mines much more. There may be a mod that brings TNT back, although I feel dynamite does the trick - except for heat levels of course.

I still feel like they should have kept the dynamite as an option, if it aint broken dont fix it

I'm playing 18.3 atm and i have dynamite. I think you mean T-N-T. That was placeable
Capt. W. Schwartz Jan 20, 2020 @ 9:28am
Have you tested other explosives? It could have been removed because it became redundant.
Current dynamite can be thrown without being lit, and can be picked back up or shot to detonate.

I will science this and update accordingly.

Can no longer be shot, but can still be used to mine/tunnel.

1, Dig a 3 deep, 1 block hole

2, Crouch, light and throw Dynamite into hole

did you try igniting unlit sticks with a lit stick, pretty sure it still works.

That happened by accident, and was what caused the room in #5. I don't know if both sticks exploded at the same time. I only heard 1 explosion sound effect, but I did see 2 explosions.

Here's a 1 x 3 deep hole filled with 9 sticks, and detonated with the 10th.

One leaves a very nice 11 x 11 x 6 deep Crater, the other an 11^3 room.
SylenThunder Jan 20, 2020 @ 12:48pm
It was replaced with a timed breaching charge.
