There are excellent modding tutorials for beginners on the official game website. Look at the forum categories, there an forum dedicated to community modding, with a subcategory forum entirely for tutorials and guides.

Open the spawn list xml in the game's files and remove the line(s) that mention snakes. If you need more exact info - seek out for modding tutorials.

Actually it is. I'm pretty confident you can overcome this challenge if you make up your mind. Games should also be formative, and I guess if you had to face the fear of something in your real life, you may not be able to just "remove it" from existence.

So why not try to do this in a safe environment like a fictional game world?

To be fair, OP didn't say he was having trouble killing them, nor did he imply a fear of them. It could be a simple as they are just an annoyance he'd rather not deal with, or any number of reasons. The question wasn't how to deal with them legitimately, it was how to remove them.
Had he implied trouble dealing with them, THEN your post would have been helpful.

I may have been wrong on OP's reasons for asking what he's asking, but my intentions were good... the problem with a lot of people nowdays is exactly this. They play games, but they don't even know WHY games were invented in the first place. Like anything that is done today, everything has been emptied of its meaning and people do random stuff just to fill the time.

Where did you read in my post that I want people to be more like me?? And on top of that, are you implying that I'm "better"??

Also, in what weird world not wanting to face a challenge is "impoving yourself"?
I think we can't understand each other probably because of a cultural or generational language barrier and I'll leave it at that.

Anyway, you can say what you want, but I had no intention at all of insulting OP or be condescending with him/her. I just misinterpreted why he/she was asking to remove the snakes. And then you and other came to attack me.
