How do you guys collect loot bags during a bloodmoon?
Wondering if you could share some insights on collecting lootbags during the dangers of a horde night.
Right now I have a simple kill-corridor. 2 blocks high, 1 block wide, with hatches to keep the zombies from reaching me.
Because I have zombie spawns at x64 the corridor get REALY full of zombies. When lootbags drop I sometimes get lucky and the bag goes over the hatch. But often I'm not so lucky and the bag lands somewhere in the middle, or even behind the zombies. How do I get those precious bags?

I've recently tried a higher base, where the bags would drop down, but I had a problem with zombies constantly attacking the base down below instead of going up the stairs. They would try to break the supports to bring the whole base down.

You wait until the horde night is over then go collect them.

I play long nights.
So many of them disappear before the night is over.

That's the price we pay for looting them "safely"

By eating a health bar, a fortbites, and running really fast while saying "Oh ****, maybe this was a mistake. "

(Seriously though, for long nights, slam multiple consumables like you're Johnny Depp at a party, and do a loot bag run about 1 am. Then the rest of the bags will keep until morning.)

The bloodmoon will produce a fixed amount of spawns. If you kill them all, then you can go out and loot, even though it's not dawn yet.

Well even IF I'm fast enough, there's still the issue of damage.
Lootbags are very easily destroyed so if they spawn in the middle of a horde of zombies chances are my bullets will make the bags go bye bye long before I have a chance to reach them.

So nobody has thought of a smart way to collect those bags?

Lootbags are not easy to destroy dude. They survive demo blasts so no worries there. Besides, there is always more loot but I only have one life. So there's that....

What works for me is in my horde base i leave a couple of vault doors closed at the start of the base and have like a room for them to swarm, when i see they have droped alot of loot bags i close the doors at the start, even drop a couple of disposable turrets to work on the incoming zombies and speedloot the bags, go back and repeat it till its over. :steamhappy:

I'm another 30 min horde player. So at 0200 I take fortbites, a first aid kit, vitamins and run down to the pit, it isn't far and grab as many as I can. It always seems a lot further back to the fighting station to patch up and say, 'I'm never doing that again', until the next time I do it.

It's all worth it to grab that Goldenrod tea and three T2 spears because I didn't use Eye Kandy again.

That's not a bad idea!
Closing their acces point and opening it up again when I'm done looting.

If you play longer days just mod loot bags to the time of BM - that's fair.
it's in entityclasses.xml in Config folder under:
<entity_class name="EntityLootContainerRegular"> (Regular is for yellow, Strong for blue and Boss for red)
TimeStayAfterDeath=
time is in second - normal is 1200 so 20 minutes. Anyone who plays 60m games have absolutely no problem looting them because BM lasts 15 minutes.

You can also check YT for loot bags horde bases - but it takes time to build such a base.
Something like this:

It depends a lot on the base design, but sometimes you can use the railing block to enable you to access the spot where the bags land. Unlike bars you can reach through the railing block (it's in the Catwalks tab).

Are bars and railings not the same?
Can you shoot through both?
