Zombies can squeeze through 1 block holes, but players can't?
Just seems unfair to me. I mean The Fun Pimps are willing to implement a literally broken zombie crawling mechanic which has zero animation polish and causes players nothing but glitchy unfair grief every playthrough, yet they can't simultaneously commit to the simple task of reducing our collision detection by a few centimetres to allow us to pass through a one block opening too? Measure twice, cut once. Someone should tell them that before they add another broken/incomplete feature in A21.

Used to be the other way around. You could fit through 1 block holes, but zombies couldn't. Totally broke the game, tbh. Then nothing could go through 1 block holes except crawlers. That worked. Then for some reason they made zombies fit, but not players. Doesn't make the game any harder, but doesn't make sense either lol

Yeah it's a bit of a pain but it fits with all the other half baked stuff they implement. Get used to it or don't play. That's the general response you'll get around here.

Yeah that never really sat right with me. I can forgive that it's a bit glitchy and has no stand to crouch animation, resulting in a weird zombie-piston effect where they can suddenly bite our toes while effortlessly evading our attacks, because unfinished alpha bla bla bla. But if they can fit through 1 block, we should be able to as well.

Players can still pass through a 1 block hole, even a half or quarter block hole. All you need is a bike on the other side. Click on the bike and you get warped on to it on the other side. Keep a bike on both sides and you have a door that zeds "don't see". :steamdeadpan:

It works.

It's a total exploit and dumb as hell, but it does work.

I usually have bigger concerns to worry about then that, like whether that zombie coming at me is a regular zombie or an irradiated fat Hawaiian.
Although yes, the zombie crawl animation is a bit jank, and they seemingly crawl for no reason at times

Maybe their bodies decaying make it easier for them to slip through? Just guessing though.

We could just as easily claim that the player takes his backpack off, shoves it through the hole, then crawls through after it

i can make at least 10 Different base entrances only the player can use

The best is a so high wall only the player can jump over :steamfacepalm:
