Tip: The stacks of cement and cobble at POIs are OP :)

Spent just one day breaking those bags of cement and cobblestone that you find laying around POIs. At first glance, they appear to be cosmetic, but they actually give a crapload of resources. I didn't have any points in strength for additional block damage or resources. At the end of the day i had like 3,500 cement and 3,500 cobblestone and a thousand plastic. i was breaking them from the storage room of a shotgun messiah factory. There were 3 different floors full of the stuff. The cobblestone is from the blue blocks that look like a tarp, and the cement is from the obviously cement-bag looking blocks.

Almost makes it pointless to try to get craft cement and cobble when you get it so fast from those cosmetic looking blocks at POIs.

Just gotta remember to use a shovel to get the cement and cobblestone from those types of blocks. (Or an auger if you have one). Auger for cement and cobble blocks, chainsaw for the plastic and paper blocks.

The stacks of chopped wood that you can find at cabins are nice for wood, too. Likewise with the stacks of stone bricks that may be there.

yep learned that quick. The shotgun messiahs if you have a quest for it clear it and respawn it with quest and chaching

Most of that is rolled over from A17.
And hardly a game breaker. You'd have to loot a ton of POIs to make a base from scavenging cement and cobblestone, fine for early horde base reinforcement.
It's still faster and more productive to mine stone the old fashioned way.

In early game coming across them are very handy especially if youve managed to put some points into motherlode, but late game it is a lot faster with a decent auger. You'll have quite a few pallets of stone with many forges cooking. The POI Bobs Boars - there is literally an entire basement filled with it, also the shotgun messiah has a few floors under construction with lots.

I don't know if I'd say it's OP,.....but I will say that (early game) it's really handy.
