Best: Anything but Stun Baton if you spec properly into it
I'd much rather chop off heads with a machete or have the knockdown effect from every other weapon. And clusters of dancing electrocuted zombies just get in the way.
Adding a Shock Repulsor and using the Nerd candy to give it an AoE can allow you to yeet a lot of zombies while stunning and ragdolling them. If you play on a modded server with Boss Zombies (Darkness Falls for example) or very powerful zombies with 1000s of HP the Stun Baton instantly shoots to top tier as well.
It's not. The stun baton is OP. You can take on a horde of zombies with it easily without getting hit and without any stat investment. Anyone saying the stun baton is bad just never uses it. No weapon is going to let you bop a direbear to death without getting hit and without pouring a ton of stats into it except the stun baton. It's a one-weapon solution to pretty much any bad situation, and is easily the best defensive weapon in the entire game.
Also, never used Nerd candy and don't feel like relying on it just to make my weapon useable.
