At least Fallout has a FOV 1st person view and a separate FOV world view that's not Fishbowl effect. You can actually distant the held object further away and a zoom back the background separately. Just use FOV 90 90 in console in any fallout 3 - 4 and skyrim game and see. This is the only thing I liked about that engine though.
TFP FOV is Fishbowl default Unity motion sickness inducing junk atm. Maybe they'll improve it ?
And I hate Unity ...
The FOV and the crosshairs are the two big UI issues the game faces. Why in the world did the devs think having a big ass crosshair NOT going away when aiming in or using a scope is a good idea. Thankfully, I can fix that problem in the XML's but good lord I'm happy I don't play on the console version.
