wiring
first off great game
thanks for all the love and attention

but

Wiring takes far to long to perform.
Add a wire another one disconnects. Reconnect it and another disconnects.
(sound of strangling followed by head hitting the wall)
Once I have added a wire can it just remain connected?
If your going to limit the number of connections just give me a message rather than make me climb up ladders etc to reconnect the original wire. over and over again.
left click add a wire
right click remove a wire

Why cant I wire up a generator and a solar bank to a battery bank at the same time?

Why cant I have two switches power the same device?

Why are we being penalised just to make things look neat ie 1W for using a wiring posts?

Can I have a new switch graphic, one with an input and an output please.

And why oh why do I have to be level 70 to make a blade trap, its just an electric motor?
I suspect that the programmer is a former chemist or possible anarchist because any yokel can make dynamite while twisting some wires together require a genius.

Battery bank, can I have a rating in KWhrs so I can work out how long my stuff will work for.

thanks

As i mentioned in another thread, it's just the limitation of the games engine. Advanced electricity, like making parallel circuits and stuff, would cause the game to lag like crazy. It can barely handle the simple electricity stuff we have now.

Tipp : use switches instead of relais. They have no power consumption.

Hook up a solar to a battery bank, from there go further. Solars recharge batteries during daytime, batteries take over at nighttime. But there's always only one powersource active, can't run two in one circuit and have the output of both. It is what it is...

It's actually left click removes or aborts connecting a wire. Right click connects it. You have to watch the flow direction. If you bring 2 wires to a device and both wires are flowing to the device, then the previous wire will disconnect in favor of the new one. You can only have 1 wire coming in to a device and only 9 going out. You will get a message at the bottom of your screen that you reached the limit if you try a 10th one out.

They set up the game that only 1 power source can be connected to a device. So, if you try to hook up the solar panel to the battery bank while the generator is hooked to it, the generator will disconnect.

Trying to hook 2 switches to a device is the same as trying to hook up 2 power sources. The previous one will disconnect when you try to hook up another.

I know, seems silly to use 1 watt for a passive relay. Because the generator will not use any fuel while running if it has a zero watt load. But a bunch of relays will trickle drain the fuel even if no devices are powered up. An alternative is to use all switches for relays, as they use zero watts.

Everybody hates unsightly wires and are always trying to hide them. Takes a lot of work and relays. They should just make the wires visible only when the wiring tool is in hand. Problem solved.

As far as KW hours, in this game, all you can do is make a chart of drain (gas or battery) amount and times under various loads so you can refer to it anytime you need to.
