Magazine: Grease Monkey

I am currently level 41, with current grease monkey perk at 2/5. Consuming the "Magazine: grease monkey" should add up an extra point in grease monkey to 3/5, prompting the ability to craft the motorcycle.

Or do I absolutely need to be the required level to craft the motorcycle?

The magazine will enable you to build the motorcycle, but only if your Intellect stat is also high enough. **Edit: I forget what level the motorcycle unlocks at, that might also need to be reached.**

Well, intellect is at 10. I didn't know you actually needed the level to craft vehicles.

Quite a few skills have 2 criteria, including Grease Monkey iirc.

It sure is.

Skills are greyed out and requires you to put points into the base attribute to unlock. That's literally the first thing you'd notice as you use skill points, since more categories opens up.

I believe you are correct, I would need the forge thing to work with steel.

Also, you can't have 2 magazines buff at the same time, only one.

Here are the levels you need to achieve in order to craft vehicles:

Minibike: Intellect level: 5 Player level: 25
Motorcycle: Intellect level: 7 Player level: 50
4x4: Intellect level: 9 Player level: 85
Gyrocopter: Intellect level: 10 Player level: 120

If you use a magazine, I'm pretty sure you must meet these requirements before you can craft a vehicle.
