The Evil Dead Cabin

whenever I start a new game, I generally set out to build the Evil Dead cabin.

So imagine my surprise when, on a random gen map, I ran across a prefab version of the Evil Dead cabin in Alpha 17:

I'm not sure if this has always been in the game, but this is the first time I've come across it in almost 700 hours of gameplay. But my question is: does this location exist in Navezgane? I'd like to be able to hunt it out and use it whenever I play the static map, it'd save me a lot of time and effort building it myself. Has anyone stumbled across it in Navegaze?

Have you checked under the rug for a hatch to the basement and made sure there is no deadites down there yet? o_O

I only play Navezgane, and I feel like I've seen that cabin, but damned if I can remember where.

I know Navegaze pretty well -- I can get from one trader to the next even when the map is still covered in Fog of War, but if the Evil Dead cabin is on that map, I have yet to find it. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it. I might turn on DM in a new game and just fly around the map looking for it.

If anyone finds it in Navegaze, let us know.

There is a root cellar, and it had a sleeping feral in it that killed my ass real fast (because it was only day 2 or three. Haha.

The hatch is in the bathroom for some reason, but there is a ladder leading up to where it should be in the living room, so I added a hatch there. There's also a bunch of useful crates in the root cellar, and a weapon bag in the bathroom.

Haha. Whenever I build the cabin in my own game, I tend to put a sofa where the swing bench is at.

It was a video nasty when I was young, you could only get it under the counter from the video shop and only if you knew the owner well.

Alright, gang. My best friend and I scouted out the Evil Dead cabin in Navegaze. If you too would like to visit it, head to the coordinates in this screen shot:

It's in the mountains just north of Traitor Joel's (the one that actually has Joel in it). I might post a video later showing the easiest way to reach it (there's basically a path up the mountains down near The Bear-Den and Bob's Bakery).

The best part is there's even a road leading in to the cabin from the snow biome, but the bridge is out, so it's cut off by a deep chasm. That's some nice attention to the film's details. :D I have made it my official home when I play in Navegaze now, with the church out near Diersville being my blood moon base.

Needless to say you don't want to go inside, most people I have seen play around in that
place have had a terrible time of it.
