i suggest spacebar to ascend, and 'button you keybind' to descend for the thumb, it can be alt, c, v, b, n depending on size of the hand.
Also pressing f7 while flying keeps you from pressing e, to fall to your death, it hides the hud so you got to navigate blindly, or press f7 to readjust your travel.
thx i was thinking that. due to the tpye of base im building my helipad is small and inside a mountain so if i wanna keep my entrance clsoed off im using the 5x3 door i need to be able to thread the needle a bit... edit as was looking into the controls a bit after other buddy said sumthin i dun see remaping for the controller just change between two diff types am i missing a button for remaping? or is it already set for optimal

As for landing just put it close on land and exit should stop it's momentum
