How do you build the bird cages?

Ive seen bird cages in videos.
But i havent been able to lay down a iron? steel? catwalk and i cannot build a bird cage so what materials do you use for it?

frame shapes.you make them out of wood :) then you can opgrade it with wood,cobble stone,cement and iron :)

Have the shape frames, search bars out of its aviliable shapes

Hold E while holding the shapes/bars and use actions like flip on face to change the orientation.

Thats how I make mine.

You can also try spikes on the ceiling of a build and hope birds run into them (Haven't tried it myself but I seen a streamer do it). Theres always turrets too (robotic or smg/shotgun) on the ceiling

Also there are many blocks you can shoot through such as truss if you felt like it. I would stay away from the very skinny cube frame. I fell through those once and broke my leg...So I imagine birds can slip right in as well.

I always use spikes on my roofs and they work great against vultures and barely get damaged

I did that in A19 and made it to horde night 77 before i got bored. Had a cage built out of wooden spikes

But in some videos ive seen people standing in cages safe from birds and able to shoot down on zombies bashing the walls.
But i got it figured out. Waiting for horde night 35..
Kind of depressing being alone all the time. :P

Why not look for a nice server now and then. Even just sharing a world with a couple people makes it much better. Can trade now and then, talk about bugs or funny things.
