Is There a Way to Use Skill Point Without Pressing the Cart?

I just saw a video from Guns, Nerds and Steel and he spend his skill points without pressing the shopping car, he just spend a lot of points by pressing in the name, but I tried here and failed, any idea? Could be a mod, or a key shortcut? Here's the moment of the video:

I don't think timestamps work on Steam embedded videos.
So I'll assume you're referring to 1:26 of the video.

I believe you could press B or enter.
The tooltip should be present when you click on the right side options (not the buy button but the column under 'Unlocks')

W key by default, However the tooltip that tells you this seems to be missing in the current UI.

Yeah, you are right in both things.
W is the shortcut to spend points, and the tooltip isn't saying we can spend points by pressing W, just by clicking on the shopping cart symbol.
