I used to play on console b4 I upgraded my PC, I had constant rain in alpha 15. Haven’t run into that problem at all.

I actually agree about too much rain but in a different sense. Not only does it rain far too frequently nearly every time it rains it is a full on thunderstorm. I know where I live in real life not every rain includes such extreme thunder and lightning. Sometimes it is just a gentle rain falling. The constant lightning and thunder in game is actually rather headache inducing particularly to those prone to migraines.

+1
I couldn´t agree more. Especially the thunderstorms with thunders every couple seconds are extremely annoying in my opinion and yes it could rain less. I was so annoyed by this that I altered the xml to have less chance for rain. It´s just too much for my personal taste.

Sometimes it is nice to get back to a base at the start of a full blown storm and stay (cozy) inside crafting, forging, making cement, arranging inventory, etc... but I would welcome a weather slider in options to adjust rain/sun/fog chances.

The rain doesn't bother me, it's the seemingly constant white outs in the snow biome making my eyeballs bleed.

Now if only the rain would stop acquiring the properties of lightsabers and going through random concrete or glass blocks.

Agreed. Rains WAY too often, and I can't think of a time when it wasn't *just* some rain without obnoxiously loud thunder (which at times has lead to confusion regarding whether or not it is horde night). They need to chill the heck out on the weather or give us an option to adjust its frequency ourselves.

+1 it's almost a guarantee that when I'm ready to leave my mine under my base at 5am and open the door to go questing it'll be raining, then again in the afternoon and another in the evening just for funzies. If I had a mote around my base it would be full in a few days. That is if water worked that way in this game.

Does the game still tend to revert back to sunny if you quickly exit the game and re-enter? I used to do that in earlier Alpha's. Just sit in the base, exit, reload. Instantly sunny again. Y'all could try that when you get too many days of rain in a row or something.

I like rain tho so I modded weather chances so it's cloudy/rainy/stormy all the time, so it wouldn't work for me regardless. Only time it's sunny for me now is start of new game because I think the game is scripted to give you Day 1 of sun and I haven't modded that aspect out.

I agree that there is too much rain. Which .xml file can you edit to adjust the rain chance?

It's not the rain that bother me so much, it's how loud the thunder is. Bonus points if it's raining in the wasteland : with the "wind's howling" sound and the thunder, you can't hear sh*t.

I am from England. Rain is a way of life to me. No complaints apart from I am finding it hard to collect any water in certain areas of the forest biome and it is raining everyday and I am soaking wet, lol.
