But its not chess it has to be random so that doesnt bother me.
But when i die with no reason second time in late game.....just standing in safety of home browsing inventory bam dead.........that is anoying.
They just kinda randomly do this, going under the floor I mean, had only happened a few times to me, but the random ultra instinct crawl for 1 second right as I try to heavy sledge swing is very frustrating.
Yeah because there's no way they are just poorly coded AI. This ♥♥♥♥ happens to me and my friends constantly on horde night. Zombies randomly go from crawling to standing and some stay crawling hitting us through doors and ♥♥♥♥. It's ridiculous.
I have seen this behavior pretty frequently when fighting multiple zombies in confined spaces, and I completely wiped all 7dtd data (settings, characters, maps, et al.) for both the initial a20 experimental and stable.
I suspect that the AI is perceiving things that may not be obstacles as obstacles and the zombies are going into crawling mode to try to get through, resulting in unexpected behavior. For instance, zombies seem to sometimes detect other zombies as obstacles, and go into crawling mode. This usually results in other zombies getting pushed into the air on top of it, resulting in weird zombie stacks and levitating zombies. This might be intended behavior for zombies attacking a wall, for instance, but when it happens to zombies at a chokepoint such as a doorway it looks like extremely buggy behavior.
So play on difficulty settings you are able to handle?
@OP
I've observed zombies deciding to crawl in odd circumstances as well, on lower difficulties where it isn't as instant a life-ruiner. Like, in an open field with no terrain blocks around, flat ground, suddenly the Z is at my shins, having instantly dropped to crawling. Kind of a problematic occurrence if you are using, say, sledges.
