Sledge Hammers no perk books?

I just realized, either there is no perk book series for sledge hammer, or "Batter Up!" is wrongly described and also applies to sledge hammers.

Is it the later? If no, why is there no perk book for it?

The perk to unlock Sledge crafting is Skullcrusher.

No I don't believe there is one, and I never noticed until you said something lol

Side note: The perks for sledgehammers have been nerfed multiple times since alpha 17

132 ish damage power attack damage on the steel sledge, makes it the hardest hitting melee weapon i believe. The aoe knockdown is still strong ,but not the guaranteed crowd control it used to be.

Why no books?
It was so far ahead of the other melee weapons when books were introduced, adding anything else would have been a bit crazy.

A20 i could see book line for sledgehammers.
Damage to safes
Damage to iron
Increased single target knock down chance
Armor penetration ( ex:Radiated biker )
Less degradation
5% swing speed
5 less stamina per swing

Tested: Batter Up DOES NOT apply to Sledges.
Power Attacks with sledges that kill an enemy DO NOT refill your stamina meter, when all Batter Up books have been read.

Good suggestions. I'd love to see sledges get their own series, adding a bit of versatility without making them more OP.

nope, the books in batter up are for clubs only

If they wanted a crazy series completing perk, though I can't see them doing it. No penalty to harvesting when using a sledge hammer to break things.

Op you might say, and yeah I would have agreed...then they added the steel axe and that thing is a monster... So op that sometimes its my main weapon, the range, the killing power, the wood destroying power, even decent enough against metal I might not switch out of laziness to pickaxe on a barricaded wood door.

♥♥♥♥..wait till you get a decent roll on an auto shotty to drop , my t6 fully modded blasts through barricaded doors in 6 shots,opens boxs in 2 , blasts through bullet proof glass in 18 hehe , kills most zombies with a headshot - bears are a different story lol
