As food and drink modeling are not critical to game play development, I'm going to think of a non ball sack reason like food and drink getting a beauty pass once the game is out of Alpha.
Or in the apocalypse all food is horse sacks.
Even in tarkov the food looks real though and they are snowed under trying to keep the playerbase happy and thats a damn tough crowd
With the number of people working on it now, I wouldn't be surprised if they've allocated time to start modeling some of those items already.
A lot of foo-foo was added to A20 that is isn't technically necessary, but makes the world look so much better.
So now we have an item that has been described as looking like a "used tampon". Horse ball sacks would look a lot wetter and gooier (ask me no questions and I'll tell ye no lies).
So, yes, also very much hoping that one day we get some better looking food items once again one day.
However they've been optimizing the game more and more since A18, so hopefully they can scrounge enough FPS to put it back in... (or caves).
When relating to other games like tarkov I should prob have kept in mind 7 days being more of a giga minecraft with all the stuff in chunks. (im not tech savy)
man if they had redstone ect we would need to hook up to nasa computers
LMAO
