How long does it usually take for an experimental to enter stable?

And while I'm at it, might as well ask; Where will we get access to Experimental? Is it in Betas on steam or somewhere else?

The average has been 3-5 weeks, with one rare occasion of only two I believe.

Access to the unstable experimental will be done by selecting unstable_experimental from the Betas tab in Steam.

Also note, that you will need to Wipe Data before switching.

@Sylen: I think we should also consider that there'll be the holidays taking away some time from development, so a better estimate would probably be around 9 weeks IMO (also faatal mentioned something along the lines).

@OP: you should probably install the Experimental version and try a new game without committing too much to it (your save may need to be wiped when you switch to stable).

Yeah, technically anything from the 20th to the 3rd probably doesn't count.

do be aware that when they make changes between experimentals it is recommended to restart. If its only tiny minor changes its fine not to but many experimental changes are major and will cause bugs if you dont restart. So be prepared to restart a lot during experimental

Your link goes to the "Moving Save Location..." item.

I think you meant to link the "How to fully refresh the client" item. Also note that there are a few steps in that which have changed, including 7DtD is listed as "Game 17" in EAC and the game uninstall is no longer done from the Local Files tab.

Also, there is the folder C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\LocalLow\The Fun Pimps\7 Days To Die that is not removed. Should this also be deleted?
