Deagle or Swagnum?
Aside from the buyers buff, is there a reason to choose the Swagnum over the Deagle? It doesnt fire or reload fast enough in upper end raids, and does, per shot, a little less DPS when I mod them equivalently.

I could perhaps spec fully more in to the right spot, but man the Deagle frankly does WORK.

What am I missing here? Trying the Swagnum out anyways for a few POI runs. But in raid, I had a rough go of it :P

Advice?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't the deagle the best pistol out there? (as in highest tier of pistols). It's also considered a magnum i believe so the magnum books work for it. (needs checking)

The Deagle is literally the upgrade for the magnum, like the Tactical Assault Rifle is the upgrade from the AK, and the M60 is the upgrade from that. It's meant to just be better in all ways.

Deagle. Bigger magazine, insane reloading speed, more damage.

You usually find the magnum earlier, only reason to use it imo. But even then i rather have a smg tbh.

Kk unanimous here.

I see a lot of guys persist in using the Swagnum (I copied that off a strimmer but cannot think of the revolver now in any other way) in raids. And i just cant find it useful. Its sucking compared the the Deagle in POI raids too agh >.<

Deagle holds the lead so far! I dont know if the buff works for both or not.

Can anyone find out? I am nowhere near a trader and its 11pm lol xD

Desert Eagle hands down. This thing is amazing.

Smg is too good, specially on harder settings. It can be modded to be whatever you want. I never consider the magnum/desert a legit option late game except on easy games.

The main draw of pistol is the super cheap ammo, its a machine gun on a budget (smg), a cheap spray and pray dismemberment device.

Magnum was a strange offshoot pistol got around when bears got added. Back when during the day zombies always walked, when its slow reload wasn't as bad.

The m60 and the tactical assualt rifle are in a strange place too. Last time I messed with both the m60 had the bigger clip but slightly lower damage per bullet and one of the worst reload speeds,. Where the TAR has a great reload speed. They're both basically the final tier for assualt rifle, like smg/Desert is the final for pistol.

Personally I wouldn't be the least surprised to see the m60 removed as part of "streamlining" as the TAS has replaced it in almost every way.

Last time I tested it, both DE and Magnum worked for the trader-bonus (after reading the book for it) and I've also heard others mention that's how it should work.
They also both get the same benefits from the Agility perks (but this goes for all 5guns in agility; PipePistol, Pistol, SMG, Magnum and DesertVulture).

Just like the SMG is typically ALL ways better than the Pistol while keeping all the benefits, the DesertVulture is typically ALL ways better than the Magnum while keeping all the benefits.
There are a few differences for which mods will work, but the Desert usually has the advantages here as well.

Sidenote, I think it used to be common at one point for the Pistol to have higher per-shot damage than the SMG (I think A18) but by late A19 the stats were tweaked so the SMG typically held a damage per-shot advantage over the Pistol...and that's been kept for A20.

Okay, thank you for the info.

I have heard about how well the SMG works. Frankly waiting for a suppressor to drop. I still havent seen but one drop, and that was in an early mission option vs the bike. I felt bike mattered too much early, and have not seen a single suppressor since then >.<

Deagle is better in every way. If you just want to look cool while killing zombies to appease the monotony Magnum is the way to go.

The Desert Vulture has a big damage-per-shot advantage over the SMG, but the SMG handles the silencer a little better (is a little quieter) and obviously holds a larger magazine...particularly when both are modded since SMG can use the drum which doubles its mag compared to the DE which can only use the clip that gives a ~1.5X bonus instead of 2X.

I don't know how much ground the DE makes back with its fast reload and high damage VS the SMG, but I suspect the SMG still holds at least a slight advantage. I can't remember if either has a noticeable range or accuracy advantage.
I remember SMG used to trip some people up because they thought it was classed as a MachineGun (in Fort) instead of a Pistol(in Agility).

All of them tend to wake nearby sleepers when silenced and sneaking though (as far as I can tell), so the bows/crossbows are still by FAR the best choice if you're sneaking...plus bows/xbows get much better sneak bonus.

Or is this some new tween fad that the rest of the world will just need to get used to, and in 10 years no one will know what the ♥♥♥♥ anyone is saying because the current generation is too lazy to use real words?

This is a game where geeks will add in nomenclature as they go.

Desert Eagle or Magnum.

There. get a few tissues before your tears overwhelm you, you sensitive snowflake. And reply like this again, you can get off my thread.

F off.

Not to mention that the Desert Eagle has been called a Deagle since at least 1995. Seven years after it was released onto the market. I'm 34 and my brother who's 45 has called it a Deagle for as long as I can remember. And we're no-where near the US either.

Pistol with gunslinger and run n gun maxed out alongside with smg incase if you get ambushed

It’s amazing even for end game zombies

Be neat if you could do dual 9mm's. That said I like lower tier guns a bit more in some cases then the top tier ones. I love going around with a double barrel instead of the auto shotgun. Just more fun for me so pick what you like to fire more and gets the job done.

They should buff Magnums to have penetration abilities to pierce multiple enemies without the need for AP rounds. This means its sorta like a shotgun where it will pierce 1-2 enemies and knock them down.
