If you play one of these mods that includes such a system (like starvation where standing on a bed makes you "rest / sleep"), find out in the mod's thread or mod section. ;)
This definitely sounds like a mod (Starvation definitely has a "you're tired so go stand on your bedroll" mechanic). If you didn't install the mod yourself then you must be playing on a modded multi-player server that has it, though if you didn't install it too you should be having a lot worse issues than fatigue as you'd be having incompatibility issues like broken textures/quests/etc..
False. The Vanilla game does tell you to find shelter, get some rest and so on. Such as when you're overheating, it'll say - and this can be found in the localization text-file.
"You're overheating. Rest, find water or shelter. When hot you will dehydrate faster."
"You're experiencing Heat Stroke Stage 1. You should rest, find water or shelter. With a heat stroke you will dehydrate faster."
"You're experiencing Heat Stroke Stage 2. You must rest, find water or shelter or you'll die. With a heat stroke you will dehydrate faster."
So yeah - it does tell you to "rest". ;)
