1. Is the new sensor within your LAND CLAIM BLOCK range?
Check that by placing a wooden frame in your hand and look at the ground, note color of "box" ... green is good (within claim area) ... white is not. You cannot interact with items outside of your claim area (common mistake).
2. If you add a new electrical item, recycle the power source off then on and verify yellow power numbers when you have a wire tool in hand and pointing at the device.
2. Check!
3. Still can't interact or pickup
4. I destroyed the motion sensor and put a wire relay on the exact position and couldn't pick it up either
It tries picking the relay up and when the timer reaches 0 it says "This block is not available for pickup" yet it remains where it is(also in range of the land claim block) .. i found no other way than destroying the item and just not using that spot at all.. which of course is not a real solution to the problem itself :-P
Ok ... Did you have anything wired FROM the motion sensor TO something?
Motion Sensors work like trip wires, in which case you can't interact with the trip wire properly because it wasn't connected in the right order (sometimes) ...(for example) Try wiring a light or something from the motion sensor to the light (then see if you can interact with the sensor). Also, I use switches, not relays when connecting to a sensor. A schematic would look like :
Power source --> Switch --> Motion Sensor ---> Light
Connect everything in that order above, don't willy-nilly connect.
I might also suggest going into Creative Mode so you can screw around and also redeem any lost sensors.
EDIT NOTE : ... Everyone in this thread seems to know how to wire stuff, so it all might just boil down to a block in the voxel space-time-continuim that wants to misbehave ,,, :/
1. Yes you can, you cannot interact with them if they are in range with ANOTHER PLAYERS LAND CLAIM BLOCK and if you guys are not allies.
2. Like I said you can connect wires to it but you cannot interact with it by pressing "E" it's not saying "you need power in order to interact" like it normally would if the thing has no power, the other motion sensor nearby which is literally 1 block beside it works just fine (I've tried to put the other motion sensor facing the other way so i can cover both areas within my killzone).
I've tried moving the thing around (but not very far maybe around 10ish blocks) nothing, but then i've tried moving it far away like 50-ish blocks away then it works.
It doesn't happen very often I've put motion sensors close to each other and it works (different game world btw) it's a bug that needs to be addressed but I'm unsure how to replicate it.
I did in fact try the following:
power -> switch -> motion sensor -> light
power -> switch -> motion sensor
motion sensor -> light
motion sensor without any connections
and none of the above worked, also as i said with a normal wire relay at the exact same spot i wasn't able to pick that up as well. So i guess that's a bug and not me building false connections? It's all in my land claim range and all my friends on the server have their claims quite far away(we are also all allied) so that can't be a problem either.
