Whats everyone's favorite weapon to use?

i personally love using the bow at a far, then bust out like the club or a baseball bat beat the heck out of zombie heads.

i also like using a simple pistol too, especially with a suppressor on it.

Silenced 9mm for clean/fetch missions. Combined with light armor, high stealth and a ghillie suit, 95% of them die in their sleep.

The Forgettin' Elixir is best item in game IMO. Early Game to level up, drink an Elixir and change to your Skills for Late Game.

Bow/Pistol/Bat works but if you're playing a hard difficulty, needing to put skills in 3 weapon types plus Armor can hurt, especially from 2 different Attributes.

If you're already getting Silencer then you don't need the silence of the Bow. It's a waste of skill points in Archery when you can have Silencer on a 9mm and an Automatic Trigger mod on another Pistol like a .44 or eventually an SMG for Runners/Horde/Bloodmoon and have only 1 Skill Branch for multiple purposes but Early Game Agility doesn't help give you Ore or Money as effectively.

Crossbow with 4x scope while sneaking (POI's, wilderness). Steel Axe for single zombies and unconsensual melee. Autoshotgun (cheaper ammo) + M60 for horde nights.

For my main it's the Auto shotgun, i got 2 on my hotbar, one with normal shells and one with slugs for the demolishers.
And i got 2 of the mp5's as secondary, one with scope and long barrel and the other with a silencer if i want to go stealthy, 9 mil is pretty much the cheapest ammo with the shotgun shells as second.

i do use the m60 on horde nights when i got a box full of 7.62 collected doing poi runs, but normally my auto shotgun is my goto weapon for horde nights.

Maybe it's just too fresh and new? ;)
I think when it is rarely used it shows that it still needs a bit balancing beeing done. I dislike the "low" damage, accidential throwing and missing the head (where the axe has an arc where it hits the spear has just a point). I only use stone spear in very early game when I have no good axe and it helps to keep more distance. A good Steelaxe can oneshot most Zed's, spear is not "predictable" enough for me. But I would say yes to a more versatile and usefull version. And there should be an option to turn of throwing a spear.

in no particular order: smg, machete, grenades, m60. Also any land mines are good in terms of raw power but those are traps. Rocket launcher is *tolerable*, but only for very specific base designs so you can shoot down at demos and kill them before they get close. The ammo is also expensive and not very useful in the time it take to reload it either.

Sniper rifle and assault rifle for range and ammo types. Steel Axe for melee since that thing with the right mods can lope the head of any zombie in an instant.

usually go with the easiest: str build with shotgun and club.

sniping at range is useful, but the hordes close the range real quick and these are crowd control weapons.

prefer the club over the sledge for two reasons: it's quicker and there is synergy with flurry of blows.

i think its more the fact the spear is really weak than it should be lol, but i find the thing fun to throw long distances, its great for killing deer for sure.
