I don't believe that's changed (and hope it doesn't).
I do agree they seem to last longer if not on the ground and are instead smacking the zombies in the head.
Those blades can hit more than it looks like they can when placed vertically.
Typically any part of it that is three block above whatever you are placing it over (ground, ramp, walkway, etc) will smack a zombie in the dead as they go under.
Now if only we had a way to set blade traps on fire like we can with the robotic sledge.....
Like a big bladed catherine wheel.
I like this cause its still close enough for fast repairs.

Speaking of mods: Also, hell my truck has room for slots, but I cant find a single thing that fits. What do you use on yours?

Wtf? You guys sure these things are supposed to live off the ground? Half a screamer horde was enough to turn one of these traps into scrap lol :P Or is this because it was on wet cement? Horde hit just as i connected it.
Trap animates, but still no damage is done to zombies or to the trap.
