does anybody know how to get and auger and a chainsaw fast because i really need them fast

Without waiting for the game to naturally drop them as you progress though the loot levels.

Well the loot system is "Dynamic" based on game stage and your player level.... But you might try your luck at the trader, with maybe 1 or 2 in "secret stash".

locate a few traders and keep checking in on them.. I have had both the Auger and Chainsaw pop up in the traders... Never together on a play through though. You will find one eventually, maybe a schematic

I always get these from airdrops.

Check car trunks.
Check Garage Boxes/Shelves.
Check Hardware Stores/Boxes.

Find parts in all the Red Tool Boxes in residential garages.

Search bookshelves and traders for auger/chainsaw books.
Search Traders for chainsaws and augers.

Fastest way is to get to tier5 quests. They appear as rewards before they're available in the loot tables or trader inventories.

it takes something away from the whole "survival thing" if you cheat them in. thats survival for you tho, you NEED alot of things, you WANT a chainsaw and auger fast ;)

Unless you luck out on a schematic: the quickest way is through the trader. Invest in Better Barter.

It would be faster to invest in getting more quest rewards tbh. They do also appear in the special stash, but I have more often than not gotten them as a tier5 quest reward long before they ever became available in their inventories.
