Sometimes I can even hit zombies on the other side of the door when they clip through.
As for the bugs... the more we get near gold, the more they'll be focused on fixing stuff.
You are in a very very small minority yes. For example lots of people have been yelling for drones and bandits no matter how buggy and clunky they currently are. People use a bandit mod that adds in almost totally non-functional buggy bandits as a substitute in the meantime.
Stand back 1 step and the problem is solved. It isn't exactly game breaking.
I agree they should fix the clipping. I mean what is the point of putting a hatch in to protect you when they can still hit you through it?

Also don't be pressed right up against the block. Most zombies can reach that far with some attacks.
A little annoying, but mostly harmless... It's easy to stay out of reach, and also keep in mind it works BOTH ways, you can hit them too. The biggest damage it causes is to my sense of immersion.
If you come to close they'll break your legs because they can attack you right trough the hatch. And if you try to shoot them chances are pretty high you'll be shooting and damaging your own hatch instead of mister spider.
You outrange them, even with knife and fists. The difficulty has nothing to do with it. And I just tested on on insane, a spider does about 11 pts of damage if you are in light armor. Your situation is even easier than fighting two spiders which are not trapped by a door, such as in a POI. And everyone does that.
Just before I posted this, on insane I spawned 3 spiders in the open on the ground and easily killed them with fists while wearing no armor, to make sure nothing about their range has changed in a recent update. I took one hit total for about 20 health.
You don't have to record anything. We all play the same game. Unless you are playing mods, there's nothing special about you or your situation from what any of us do when we play.
btw - Machete has a range of 2.3. meleeHandZombie01 has a range of 1.65.
I didn't say you were wrong. I completely believe you are having trouble with the game. So I actually think you were right.
All I did was to let you know you outrange them (unless you are fighting with bare empty hands). I also let you know we all fight spiders. We know what it's like. You aren't doing something extra special amazing that no one else has ever faced. :)
Stay calm and don't start raging at (or insulting) the people trying to help you.
Yeah, forward leap AND climbing (depending on situation) would be cool. Though climbing was easily defeated by adding a half block overhang to base walls.
Putting iron bars back to back and paying attention to when they needed to be repaired made a huge difference and worked well until I changed my base style to reflect some other issues I wanted to address. Elevating the base, creating a single path corridor and putting back to back steel poles across your melee area is the best way I've found. Yes, they can reach through, so, put something on the floor to give you an idea where to stand, and send them all to heck. You can shoot them with ease though, it is so much more satisfying to crush their stinking heads. Hate those spiders.
