A17 : no more loot on zombies ?

Hi

I've read somewhere that zombies will left a backpack on the ground with their loot, because it's not possible to loot them anymore.

A friend and I are playing for 4 hours now and killed around 50 zombies and we never had a single loot.

zombies will drop a loot bag if they have loot. supposedly. i've killed dozens so far and haven't seen any.

no looting zombies anymore but they have a small chance to drop a bag on death

My very first zombie kill dropped a shotgun, two extra shells, and some drinks. I have since gotten a grand total of two additional drops from many zombie kills. Drops are rare, but helpful.

It's totally random if they drop something. I've had 2 drops so far and I'm on day 10. I've killed a few hundred zeds so far as killing them is the best way to level up.

They don't drop often buy got 2 bags my 1st day food water and forged steel lol!!!

I just killed a business zombie and he dropped a bag called "Dropped Loot" and inside was Night Vision Goggles, 14 Steel Arrows and 3 Forged Steel

the drops are rare but damn do they drop good stuff like guns , ammo and tools. happy they got away from all that damn looting on zombies crap. This new systerm is nice and when u do get the loot from zombies you know its gonna be good

So ok for the zombies, but how do I 'loot' for example a rabbit, meaning how do I get meat, fat, fur and bones from it? Or any other animal, just happened to kill a rabbit then couldn't do anything with it :(
Tried harvesting with axe and bone shiv, do you need a skill now? Or do they also drop backpacks? :p

The new looting system has really killed this game for me....the drops must be very very rare...so far 0 drops from 90 kills ( about 50 of them were after i spawned in a rifle to test). This just kiils the fun of killing zombie hordes for me....i play PVE with 3 others and on day 7 we would gather at our base awaiting the horde....and slaugter joyfully. the loot we gathered made up for the ammo and repairs we had to make again.....but this looks like we get very little from it now, so whats the point. might as well just turn the zombies off.

I understand there can be sometimes bag of loot out of dead zombie but i killed many of them already and not one time dropped
