Movable and carrying storage boxes

All these tool parts and still nothing that we can use to pick up and move storage boxes......I found when i built my base and added people to my server i needed more room. i had to tear down walls and move items..destroy boxes the try to redesign where to put boxes...I would recommend use steel tool parts to make a lifting item that you could pick up storage box and move it but while you move it you are encumbered much like when your inventory is full while you are moving the storage box with it. If no items are in box you can simply pick it up and move it

I agree, being able to move storage containers and their contents would be nice, especially if they can make it so you don't have to unload them to move them.

I don't see an issue with being allowed to move empty ones. I vote no to the second part, unless you have to carry it in your hands and set it down to do stuff. It should not just pop into your inventory and let you carry it while it carries its inventory. That completely negates the point of even having an inventory capacity.

Agree it would be helpful, but isn't that now somewhat cheating?

I mean, move your wardrobe all full up. Maybe a mod?

True, didn't think of that. I was thinking ease of relocation. IE: someone moves their base.

I have a better suggestion but maybe you could have the encumbered effect and while carrying the storage box you can’t do ANYTHING else besides put the box down and have a like a 5 sec animation of picking the box up/down to stop people abusing it as more storage

I can agree with that. Moving a full box causes you to move slowly. Maybe based on how much is in the container.

Well we can move workstations within a land claim... I would think moving a container could be done similarly, even if it has to be empty.

Some could walk off with your box or gun safe lol I like it the way it is.

Of course it would be set to you can only pick up and or move your own, not others. Some can break your boxes and safe and take what they want as it is... so whats the difference. Dishonest people are and always will be around.

How about a Hot Air Balloon method of relocating materials/items craft a cloth bag use candles and a support frame bingo hot air lifting device. Then use X,Y,Z as a method indicate the final travel point and it would then auto float to a specific spot and settle on ground/location. It could be a unique mod. This is a relocation device not intended as a moving device. you would have to place items from your inventory into it, enter designated location to travel to and away it would go.
2nd option have a dolly you could craft with a weight max and distance/range of movement it could be moved.

Have you ever seen a safe? You cant pick them up alone.

FYI... I use to repair, crack, deliver & install, and on occasion uninstall and relocate. Yes the type safe we are dealing with in the game are in fact movable. We are not dealing with bank vaults, just home/personal type.
