Powered Drawbridge problem - need help
I've got this idea for a tunnel that ramps upwards and eventually comes out in the middle of a "road" (player created). Now, I've got it so that the road and the tunnel align, and have a powered drawbridge on one end that can cover the hole in the road and I'm trying to automate it.

The drawbridge should stay in the open position (that is, down) except for when a player crosses the path of a motion sensor and then it'll close (raise up). I have placed one sensor outside, and one inside the tunnel. One sensor is connected to a switch which is connected to both the drawbridge and the other camera, and the other camera is connected to the drawbridge too. But no matter how I set it, the drawbridge won't stay down.

Has any one got any ideas of how to fix this or am I going to have to do it all manually, like some sort of peasant? :steammocking:

i dont think that it is possible, atm.
i think u will have to do it manually.
but maybe some experienced player in those things will help u (mods?).
also i would like to rotate the drawbridge in all directions.

To have 2 motion sensors, they have to be connected directly to each other with nothing in between them, i believe.

So it should be power>switch>camera>camera>drawbridge. The cameras have to be positioned so that you don't need a relay between them.

You require a mod to add advance rotation to the draw bridge in order for your trigger to function correctly.

The issue was glitched floating bases

They need to allow triggers to work in both directions as this would allow for more complex circuits to be created.

As it is now one can build a zombie crushing maze and never need to fire a shoot on horde night

Thanks for all the information, guys. I'm not interested in installing mods at the moment so I guess I'll just use a standard drawbridge. No big deal. :freebeer:

there are some tricks to this sort of thing, but nothing easy. you can set a pressure plate or something to always on, and also have a camera to trigger and "Reset" the always on, so that it will stay open after you manually trigger the pressure plate, until you trigger the camera (which will then open it agin, but then close when its timer or condition is over). but then you need to have a way to "close" it again afterward. a friend of mind also figured out a trick using multiple power sources, one of which maxes out in such a way so that the door is always "open"/closed until a motion sensor triggers another power source which is overloaded and thus "closes"/opens the door. i dont fully understand it, but it works. the point being we have figured out two potential method workaround/juryrig solutions to this issue, that could be quickly and easily solved by adding a new setting into the game, a sort of inverter or something.
