EG: If you have a save that uses Pregen01, and then you edit in the world editor, then you go launch the save, the save won't reflect any changes.
You'd have to make edits, then make a new save using the world.
In essence, the world editor is for editing worlds- Not for editing saves. If you want to build in creative mode, use creative mode while playing the save.
So like mentioned I did that with a newly generated map in first place, but it simply wouldn't save it. So I thought "mh, okay, perhaps I bugged the editor by pressing shift+Q at some point too often.. Because it appeared as if the landscape shove itself back upon the buildings I rose before, just eating everything up when I'm far enough, despite saving.
Plus there's no 'save as' function, so if you cannot save within the world editor, what's the use of loading files there? Does it only save item edits, spawn locations and kinda? I didn't mess around with those, as I only wanted to build without restrictions. (after countless world resets over the years through patches and rebuilding my base from scratch)
I searched forums for the world-editor in combination with save problems and I never found anything about it, that's why I want to make clear what this tool actually is about... and maybe it is a thing that would need some renaming, because a player's understanding of editing the world surely won't stop at the very surface of that world. So "spawn-editor" - if it's a fact now that you won't be able to edit the actual world's surfaces - would be less missunderstanding, just for starters.
