impact driver rework?
Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask you if you know any mod that reworks the impact driver. To me it's very weird that a motor tool

a) does not use gas
b) uses stamina

I honestly think the game should make the impact driver the "auger" or the "chainsaw" of wrenches (it'd make more sense, especially considernig the parts it uses). So I was wondering if there's any mod that accomplishes this.

Also, I always try to puts mods (now I'm talking, of course, about in-game modifiers) on all tools and weapons. I've heard that increasing the damage of any wrench-type tool decreases the yielding of resources. Is that so? If so, I guess that means I should put any mods, since any mod will increase its damage, right?

Increasing the damage of a wrench has no bearing on the resource return of a dismantled object, Only on how fast you dismantle it. There used to be a bug that allowed you to 'overkill' a block and gain more resources which made it better to do 99% of the blocks HP in one or multiple hits, then do an extra power hit, but, it's been fixed, so there's no reason not to just one shot things, and thereby no reason not to just mod the heck out of any given tool, pickaxe, wrench, or otherwise.

And if anything, the impact driver is more of an electric tool, not a gas driven one.

Thanks for your reply. Good to know that I don't have to worry about mods.

You're right about the impact driver being an electric tool, my mistake on that. Still, shouldn't there be some kind of "resource" for it? it still doesn't make sense that an electronic tool uses stamina and that you can right-click it (hit hard) and yields virtually the same resources (maybe even teh same) without doing its function; just by brute force).

Maybe an electrical resource made of electrical parts or something (or even gas refriend or whatever) could be done ot make it the "auger/chainsaw" of wrenches. Otherwise it's just weird.
