Forge Locations

im new to the game and i dont know where to find a forge. Does anyone know the coordinates to any working forges? I cant craft one because i need to forge an item in order to make a forge.

if you are talking about a short iron pipe then you can get them from wrenching cars or air conditioners :)

Or looting sinks.

Also, traders usually have forges.

You can also wrench toilets, refrigerators and ovens for pipes. Pipes should start showing up in random loot for you at some point.

all that stuff is random. you can find forges and other workstation things in the trader areas but it's a crap shoot if they will be working or not. you can also find all that stuff out in the maps but again, it's a crap shoot if they work or not.
all the loot is randomly generated based on loot tables. we can point you to where you are more likely to find something but can't guarantee where something will be.
to find a wrench; loot cars, loot sinks, gas stations, working stiffs boxes, toolboxes, and trash.
if you have your loot respawn on default 30 days or turned off, I'd stay away from the Working Stiffs stores until you have a higher level of looting as that's your best bet to find augers and chainsaws later on.

The most likley trader to have a working forge is the one with all the storage sheds in the middle (trader is to the left in a caravan), It is in a shed in second row from right side, two sheds from the front. Next best is the trader with caravan to your right on entering.

If you are totally new and can't find the wrench and can only loot items. I recommend either the ovens in burnt bio for either pot / pipes or the smaller junkyard - jump onto the large rubbish bins and loot.

As you progress, there is a petrol station with two work benches (one inside and one outside), usually one works. Working cement mixers, try the tall building site.

However, if you are on a community / multiplayer server. Ask admin what settings they have. Was on a server where in a huge town (at least 15 x 15 city blocks) only found 2 working vending machines and 1 working cement mixer and NOTHING else.

you don't need a wrench to get short iron pipes. just kill a toilet with your stone ax.

Stone axe works fine as well. You might not get as much as with a wrench but you don't need many pipes.
