Annoying Music Every 30 Seconds:
I have every setting related to music off, yet I still get that music or a Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Anyone know what sound file to pull to get rid of it? I get it. It's a spooky zombie game. You don't have to remind me every minute with creepy music.

I actually feel just the ambient sounds by themselves would be more scary without listening to the band warm up constantly. I'm close to the point of eating my 9mm lol.

Other than that, A19 looks and runs great on my system. Really liking it.:104:

Settings and turn off dynamic music and additional sounds effects i dont remember how they called in settings, check in sound

It's connected to the ambient sound volume. Unfortunately that kills all the crickets, owls & cool sounds. Never realized music playing out of no where was an ambient sound. Oh well, thanks for the reply.

They should seperate this, or maybe that was in purpose if you want cool nice sounds you will also get scary annoying voices.

I agree to both.

Yeah, I kicked mine down to 5%. Somewhat bearable now. But like you said, be nice if they'd separate them.

+1

Especially in a survival game. No need for fake zombie noises, just the ones near me.

Really hope they allow us to mute those sound effects, the first couple dozen hours it's fine but after that it becomes so annoying, like I just wanna play the game, not have a man blasting mongolian music into my ears.

Most people have found those sounds annoying since they were introduced in (I think) Alpha 16. In addition to the normal night sounds, there's: A sound like a moaning wind. One that seems to be water running down a large drain pipe. A small critter of some kind, a raccoon I think. That one is actually kind of cute, certainly not creepy. These are not completely out of place in a post apocalyptic zombie survival game.

The ones that I find annoying and almost comically out of place are the Zombie Choir and their accompanying string section. From the first time I heard those sounds I had a mental image of about thirty or forty male zombies shambling about the wasteland in tattered choir robes with sheet music in hand forever doomed to be practicing their warm-ups like some sisyphean carolers from hell.

Cue Zombie Choir in 3... 2... 1... "Bhhhhhwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhhh hoooooooaaaahhhhh!"

And then there's the string section from the Zombie Symphony Orchestra shambling along behind them. They are a bit more useful as they herald the dawn for us and remind us of the Curfew of the Damned but they should be given the rest of the night off to run and play along with their zombie brethren.

Maybe those couple of "creepy" ambient noises wouldn't bee so bad if they weren't so frequent and predictable. Though I still think that they would feel out of place.

Hope they get rid of those annoying noises, especially the "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Their just so overdone. And I thought the talcum powder & boy scout lawsuit commercials were overplayed.

Like i said guys, just switch them off, no worth it to listen to then i know the devs idea was to scary us obviously but this sounds can be so annoying

The every 30 second scary music at night was i believe intended to add tension to the early game when you are weak and vulnerable, i get that.

After awhile the synthetic music from an inexplicable source gets really, really old but i enjoy the other ambient sounds of nature, zombie and wolf fights and the zombie scouts moving around, i want to hear those sounds at night.

Switching off ambient sounds is not a fix but a last resort to end the annoyance, FP needs to add an option to kill the redundant night music every 30 seconds.

There is a way to remove it with an asset editor but that could lead to triggering anticheat.

I'm at the point now where I sort of just don't notice it in the background even though it's there? Has my mind somehow invented a way to filter it out after all this time? It's strange, since I get so lost at night time building and doing everything that I do that I tend to not listen to any of the sounds in the background other than the sounds of the zombies slowly approaching my base.
