Critical hit system
I reckon the critical hit system is good and all but when you get hit it’s just really easy to cure. Fatigue=Vatimans. Concussion=pain killers.
Laceration= sewing kit
I think it’s just too easy to heal critically hits and it doesn’t really offer to much to the game at this point. The one exception however is the broken limbs. You can splint them to speed up recovery but you still have the symptoms of a broken leg/arm that you have to take into consideration. If you want to heal it completely you need a cast and I’m pretty sure that’s a late game item. So is the other critical hits going to be similar to broken limbs where you can find a simple cure quick but still have to take some of the negative effects of the injury for some time, unless you have a great healing item that is hard to get but heals it instantly?

Personally I'd like to see all injuries take a while to heal, regardless of treatment, treatments to speed up recovery but no instant healing magics.

I totally agree, like why add a critical hit system if it can just be overcome really easily?

Playing Darkness falls , i sprained my arm. 5 minutes ok ill just use my junk turret.
Picking up and placing the turret twice bumped the timer to 4 hours.
Base game there are barely enough zombies to trigger crits, outside of horde night.

Fair enough, but generally darkness falls is mod to make things a lot harder, so your experience doesn’t suprise me. With you last part I can agree, especially since armour reduces the chance drastically to get critted

It's only easy if you have those things. Were you playing MP and possibly gifted a ton of stuff on your Day 1?

Edit: I noticed on your Profile, you're at 1 Year of Service with Steam and are Level 20? I have 16 Years Service and am at Level 11. Maybe you're an exceptional gamer, the top 1%, so maybe things in this game are easy for you.

No I play solo, warrior difficulty, wear light armour and with 75% loot abundance. I get no help what so ever from other people or creative mod either. Already the cures to a lot of these things can be found almost straight away. You can literally find a sewing kit, pain killers and honey all in the first minute of a new world if you got lucky enough. The cures to crits are just to easy to find. I think they need to make the current cures less effective to make crits an actual concern, instead of something that is a small nuisance.

I’m nothing special, literally the worst gamer in the world can be level 100, if they had enough money. Im pretty sure you can level up by crafting badges, which you can buy with money fairly easily. But I’d say I might be slightly better at 7dtd then the average joe, since I have been playing since 2016 on console and transferred over to PC mid last year roughly. Just my problem with the critical hit system is it’s just too easy to overcome, and anyone with nearly any amount of time on 7dtd could probably overcome them too.

I see, been on 7DTD since around 2014, not that easy to overcome I think not for me anyway. :-)

Huh, can you explain why you don’t think it’s that easy to overcome??? Maybe your not find the cures very easily.

This isnt about zombies, but Steam levels are just from buying badges from games. Higher steam level means you spent more money

It's easy to find honey if you chop down every stump you come across until you have a stockpile of infection cures.

I don't carry a whole first aid kit with me, but i keep pain pills and bandages on me, and splints, health bars, and infection cures in my vehicle as soon as i have one. I've only had 2 broken limbs so far in a19, but both times i went home and did home chores until the healing was done.

Is so nice to break leg on big poi and walk without splint when are you at middle of looting always love that difficulty

I echo the idea that more critical injuries need to take time to heal and have harsher penalties for leaving them untreated or reapplying them.

Oh yes, is wonderful fun to have to crawl the whole factory at snailpace trying to find those last zombies and vultures stuck who knows where. Definetively one of my top fun moments in gaming. :sarah:

Except when the stupid honey just don't drop. Several days into my current game I had to suicide because I couldn't find any. Stupid stumps and stupid RNG.
And about broken limbs, my latest one was in a factory POI for a lvl 5 mission. I had to finish the mission at snailpace trying to find what zombies I had missed. Uuuugh!! :ralphhurt:
