But people complained for months, so they finally re-included it; But, not wanting it to take a huge amount of real estate again and not wanting it to be intrusive, they put it along the bottom of the hotbar.
With that said, Are you driving 90% of the time or something, that you need to know how hungry/thirsty you are even while driving? You cant eat or drink while you're in the vehicle anyway, so why is it important to be able to see hunger/thirst at a glance? You need to get out of the vehicle to eat/drink anyway. I think the B menu solves it well enough. But I also don't see any real reason -not- to also add the bars to the vehicle UI as well......I just dont see any good reason TO add it either.
as for hitting the B menu, this is NOT as good an option because i prefer to leave the B menu tab on my loadout and character visual rather than the other menus (as this is much more often when i am hitting B to deal with), and more so, i am usually flying these days for driving, so opening menus is often a bad idea in this circumstance for any reason, as is hopping out of the vehicle just to be able to check how hungry i am...
i get that this is a debated issue, i have been part of this debate for a some time, but now that they have agreed to put the information on the screen for us, it is not too much to ask that this information be readily available and all in one place at all times. keep them the same narrow bar, but stack them under the others. it would add only a very small extra bit of visual overlay to what is already there. if people really dont like it, make it an option in the menus to show or hide it from the UI. there is no reason we can not all have it the way we want it.
It's not like there aren't a million UI mods you can use anyway.
and im not arguing that the toolbar should be visible while driving, there is no need for it because you can not use the tools while driving. if anything this further proves my point that the food and thirst bars should NOT be part of the toolbar, because this information has nothing to do with your tools, and IS still useful when driving...
